There is nothing better in the world than love. To be in love does not mean you have to be in love with someone else. There is nothing wrong with being in love with yourself. The fact is that you should be in love with yourself. If you don’t love yourself how do you expect anyone to truly love you?

There was a time when someone would get married you would receive the invitation in the mail. If someone was having a birthday you would send him/her a birthday card. If someone was having a baby and they are having a baby shower they would send out invitations. However, this is is no longer the case due to today’s social media. With social media people just post whatever they want to post. It could be a wedding, a birth, death, a birthday, a graduation, it doesn’t really matter. The thing is if you’re someone who does not go on to any of these social media sites, you would never know anything. Then people will think that you’re rude because you didn’t tell them congratulations or I’m sorry for your loss. To be honest I think social media has made us lazy, as well as it has taken jobs away from people.

Think about it when you don’t take the time to send someone an invitation or birthday card. This affects the United States Postal Service; when they are not selling stamps there is less mail going out therefore, they need fewer people. Same thing when it comes down to the companies that make invitations and cards. There are less people that are being employed  because they don’t have to work at the printing company to make cards and envelopes to send out. I think that this is also being inconsiderate. I say this because people are not taking the time to send someone something personal, they post it on social media for everyone to see whoever, sees it, sees it. At the same time, I think that people are cutting themselves short because if no one knows about their special event let’s say a wedding, not that many people who will show up which will cut down on the amount of gifts that they will get. Why because they were too lazy and they decided to post it one time on social media. Think about your actions because you’re not only cutting yourself short without getting gifts at the same time you’re taking jobs away from people who need them.

There are so many people who are searching and searching for love. They are willing to spend time and money to find it. All they really want is to be in love and to be happy. One thing that they don’t do.

I fell for you

You fell for me

I loved you

You left me

I missed you

You loved her

As time passed I missed you

As time passed you love her.

Now that I am over you.

You are over her.

After all of these years I often wondered why.

Then right out of the blue I get a message from you.

I was just doing some thinking and there are just some things in life that we will never understand.

No matter how hard we try.

With that being said

You should never let another person’s selfish action break you.

The only thing they are doing is controlling you and dragging you down.

You’re the only person that  can control your life.

You’re  the only person that can put a stop to it.

As long as you let someone drag you down, you are letting them have control over you.

You are letting them win, don’t let them win.

Don’t do it, don’t fall in to their that trap.

Once you fall in to their trap you might not find your way back out.

Stop letting people who are not even worth it rent space in your head.

To break this down so that you understand. Stop letting people who are not worth it irritate you.

Stop going above and beyond for people who will never truly appreciated it.

Spend your time believing in yourself.

Spend your time doing something that is worth doing.

Because letting someone irritate you is just not worth it.

There are things that we should expect from people.

Like respect you should never allow anyone even your kids to disrespect you.

 You should teach your kids and grand-kids about respect.

It is very rare that you hear a child say, sir, ma’am, please, and thank you.

Somewhere along the way we forgot the importance of respect.

Another thing we all need to do is to respect ourselves.

If we don’t respect ourselves how in the hell do we expect other people to respect us.

When people try to disrespect you…

 Don’t go off..

Just keep a level head.

Don’t do what they expect you to do.

Kill them with kindness.

Just look at them and say OK…

And walk away with a smile on your face.

Now in the back of your mind say whatever you want to say.

And say it loud ….

At the same time smile..

 Just don’t let them get under your skin …

They are just not worth it.

 Don’t lower yourself to their level.

It’s all about respect…

Words like sorry are often misused.

By this I mean sometimes people say sorry just for you to shut up.

They don’t mean it but they want you to shut up. I think somewhere along the way when we were growing up or raising our kids we told them to say sorry. At the same time, we did not let them to know the reason  why they should saying they’re sorry.

Take time to think about it.

How many times did you give your child a treat or let them off punishment because they said I’m sorry? That action right there taught them  that when they say sorry, they will either get taken off  punishment or  they will get a treat. 

Don’t get me wrong there are times that people say that they are sorry and they truly are. You can just tell by the sound of their voice.

Don’t except sorry if you truly don’t believe a person is sorry. Better yet ask them what are they sorry about.

If they are truly sorry they will be able to tell you why they are sorry real fast.

If they are slow and have to think about it …. then they don’t know and they are not truly sorry.

Stop letting people waste your time. As soon as you sit back and think about it you don’t owe anybody anything. The only person that you owe something to is yourself. Things will change. A lot of people live their lives trying make someone else happy, trying to make them comfortable. While at the same time they are disregarding their own wants and needs. Then they sit back and wonder why, why are things not working for me.

That’s an easy question to answer.

Things aren’t working out for them because they are too busy living their lives for everyone else. Value yourself and believe in yourself and your world can’t do anything else but change for the better. I am not going to lie, there will be people who won’t like you when you start to believe in yourself.  But don’t let that stop you because you’re beautiful inside and out, you deserve to be happy. Life is too short not to be happy.

There will be times in your life that someone will let you down and walk out of your life.

Just move on, it will hurt but you need to just move on.

There will be people who will come in to your life that are just not worth your time.

They will pretend that they care and that they love you. They will say what you want and need to hear in order to get them in to your life. They will build up your dreams and then walk right out of the door.

Let them go because if they truly cared and loved you like they said they did they would have never left.
